Born and raised on the beautiful Central Coast of California, Joe was bit by the performing bug early, spending the majority of his childhood on community theatre stages. By the age of 13, he made his professional stage debut at Pacific Conservatory Theatre (PCPA), and after graduating from San Luis Obispo High School, he headed East to continue his studies and pursue his dreams. In 2014, Joe graduated with honors from the prestigious BFA Musical Theatre program at Pace University in New York City.
Since graduating from Pace, the six-foot-tall ginger has played leading roles at regional theatres across the nation, and has toured multiple continents as a soloist with The USO Show Troupe, Dublin's Irish Tenors, and Princess Cruises. In 2015, Joe covered the lead role of Huey on the national tour of Broadway's Tony-winning musical, Memphis. He also originated the role of Elf Joe in the 1st national tour of The Elf on The Shelf: A Christmas Musical.
When not onstage himself, Joe is a proud theatre educator and performance coach. His self-led workshops, camps, and masterclasses have been presented in California, Utah, New York, and Massachusetts, as well as virtually (via Zoom).
Joe is based in NYC and is currently on contract as a resident guest vocalist aboard Princess Cruises' Royal Princess through February 2022.
